Do you feel like you’re doing all the right things yet you cannot seem to lose the weight??

Trying it all but still finding yourself stuck at a certain weight, especially one that you feel isn’t your ideal weight. Let’s just say there is a reason your body is holding on to weight…even when you are seemingly doing all the right things.
Let’s learn the possible reasons why your body is holding on to your weight and what we can do about it.

Our body has a built-in protection mechanism and one of those is holding on to extra weight. It’s a protective mechanism to get us through a stressful time when we do not feel it eats right.

Here are a 3 possible reasons why our body is holding on to this extra weight:

Maybe your body feels threatened and that’s why it’s holding onto weight.

Over-exercising is one way that our body feels threatened. Our body feels threatened when we do high-intensity workouts for more extended periods of time because that is extra stress added to your body.

Repressed emotions can cause us to hold onto weight. Things that we choose not to deal with at the moment become repressed emotions. And all of that adds up over time

Under-Nourishing our body is a huge reason why it holds on extra tight to the calories it does get.

If you are fasting half the day, that is a small window within which you eat. Therefore, it’s hard to get the right amount of nutrients that we need. Undernourishment is a stress on our body and our body is sensitive to stress, especially in women.

Your body could be holding onto weight because it’s overloaded.

Toxic Overload is a real thing and can cause some issues with weight. We are surrounded by many chemicals, preservatives, and things that are not from nature. Most of the time, toxic tucks in our cells and gets away to our organs and these get stored in our body. Toxins also overload our detoxification system, our detox system is trying to get rid of these toxins but when we have so many from different areas it gets back up and stuck.

And finally, when we are out of balance this affects our ability to come to a healthy weight.

Minerals are important as they are like spark plugs to almost every process in your body and so when they’re off there’s a cascade effect that causes issues that you may feel in certain symptoms especially if you’re under stress.

The gut microbiome gets out of balance when we have all of these different stressors our gut is impaired. Maybe it’s because of low stomach acid,  we have leaky gut or we have little holes in our gut lining and it’s allowing these things to get into our blood that should not be there that is causing our system to get overloaded. It’s also allowing bacteria to be overgrown that shouldn’t be and this causes them to be off-balance.

Here are the things that we can do for the healing process:

  • Nourish your body – eat real whole foods
  • Sleep and give your body a rest
  • Do some light movements, workout for 20 to 30 minutes, and take a walk
  • Look to see how many calories you are consuming in a day.
  • A lot of us are not getting enough calories in the form of nutrient-dense foods
  • What are you bringing into your home to scent it with, clean it with, and to use on your body.
  • Ultimately, you want your body to realize it is going to be nourished and it is going to get rest. Then it will feel safe enough to come to a healthy weight.
