We all want healthy hair, right?! Especially if you’ve experienced hair loss recently.

Ensuring proper nutrition and taking an ‘ inside out’ approach to hair care is key, however, there are some things we can do with our hair that promotes growth and resiliency. I talk more about the reasons why we may experience hair loss in this blog post.

What should you be doing daily to care for your hair?

The obvious things like not using heat on your hair daily are one thing, but something that is often overlooked is how we care for our scalp and roots. After all, this is where new hair sprouts up:)

When substances like hair care products build up on the scalp they can impede hair growth.

This is why brushing your scalp daily is super helpful. It can help boost roots and remove buildup that can really be stunting hair growth. I purchased this brush to really get down in my root system better, but you can use any type of brush!

I love using this hair growth hack the night before I wash my hair!

In general, oils have fatty acids that help replace lipids in the hair. They are often lost due to washing, chemicals in shampoos or just over time our body doesn’t produce as much oil. 
I simply put 3-4 drops of each oil in the palm of my hand and then rub on to my scalp and leave on for 10 minutes before I shower…and THAT’S IT! 🥳 You may prefer a spray or dropper bottle with a carrier oil for ease, so whatever works best for you! And the longer you can leave on your scalp—overnight even—the better!

Rosemary is known as one of the best oils for enhancing hair growth and thickening hair (as well as increasing cellular metabolism that stimulates the hair growth in the first place!) Cedarwood can help stimulate the hair follicles by increasing circulation to the scalp.

The next morning its time to wash this out! You can wash it as normal or take it up a notch:)

*don’t forget that using a non toxic shampoo is key in hair health and growth. I love and use either these shampoo and conditioner bars OR this shampoo and conditioner.

When I’m ready to wash I like to use this scalp massager and also include this scalp scrub shampoo in with my regular shampoo to make sure my scalp is in tip shop shape!
